PadCare is a revolutionary solution designed to address the environmental and health impact of sanitary waste disposal. Traditionally, sanitary pads end up in landfills or are incinerated, both methods harmful to the environment. We helped PadCare create an innovative sanitization and shredding machine that turns used pads into reusable materials like bricks, pots, and gift items. Additionally, we designed a sanitation hub to scale the solution across multiple offices.
Over 4.76 million pads have been recycled, preventing them
from ending up in landfills.
Approximately 7,179 kilograms of carbon emissions have been
conserved through their recycling processes.
1. High Cost of Individual Machines: Deploying individual machines at every office was financially impractical.
2. Contamination: Ensuring hygienic collection and storage of used pads.
3. Scalability: Creating a scalable system that could cater to large urban areas and multiple facilities.
Understanding the Problem: We analyzed the complete sanitary waste cycle, from collection to disposal, identifying the most harmful points.
Designing the Machine: We developed an advanced shredding and sanitizing machine that could process pads efficiently and safely.
The machine was designed to use high-powered motors to shred pads, apply disinfectants, and convert the residue into usable materials.
Scalable Design: We created a centralized hub model that allowed multiple facilities to send their waste to one central processing unit, reducing cost and increasing efficiency. The collection bins were designed to be spill-proof and contamination-free.

1. PadCare Shredding & Sanitization Machine: Converts sanitary pads into reusable materials like bricks and giftables.
2. Sanitation Hub Model: Scalable system that serves multiple offices or communities from a single location.
3. Hygienic Collection Bins: Designed for safe, clean, and sanitized storage of used sanitary pads, reducing contamination and spreading diseases.
