Hey everyone! I’m Anand Godse, and if you were to ask me what I do, well, that’s a loaded question! Life, for me, isn’t a straight line; it’s more like a vibrant, ever-evolving drum circle, full of different rhythms and instruments.
From Classrooms to Drum Circles: My Unexpected Path
For years, I was an Associate Professor at Fergusson College in Pune, diving deep into the world of psychology and social sciences with bright young minds. I loved exploring the human psyche and helping students find their own paths. Later, at the School of Vedic Sciences, I explored how ancient wisdom could find relevance in our modern lives.
But life took an unexpected turn when I discovered the power of rhythm and music. Now, as a certified Drum Circle Facilitator with Village Music Circles, I bring people together, not with lectures, but with beats! There’s something magical about creating a symphony of sound with a group of strangers – it breaks down barriers and builds connections like nothing else.
More Than Just a Beat: Mentoring and Empowering
Beyond the drum circle, I’m also a mentor, coach, and researcher. I get to work with individuals and teams, helping them unlock their potential and achieve their goals. Whether it’s guiding entrepreneurs at DeASRA Foundation towards self-reliance or leading initiatives at SMIT.FIT to boost organizational well-being, I’m all about empowering others to thrive.
I even spent some time as the Head of Department at the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, and as a Director at Taal Rhythmic Solutions, and now promoter of Flow Social Sciences Research Organization, which really showed me the power of leadership in different settings.
